Benicarlo

Setting

A "real" Spanish seaside town in this area, which has a different feel if you compare it to Vinaros further north. Although there is a small beach in the centre of the town, the main focus of the seaside is the harbour. The area around it has been developed and you have a nice marina with bars and restaurants.

Peniscola

Setting

Peniscola consists of a number of distinct parts: Firstly the famous peninsula, also known as the 'city in the sea', where you find the beautiful castle and old town. The more modern town of Peniscola with High Street etc. is on the mainland. It is the size of a large village and is open for business all year round. Vinaros

Setting

Vinaros is the most northern of the seaside towns of the Castellon province, only a couple of kilometres from the border with Tarragona / Catalonia. It is a working town of around 25,000 inhabitants and, although popular with holiday makers not so much a resort, which means it is lively all year round and does not shut down in winter.

Calig

Setting

Calig is a traditional small town only eight kilometres from the sea and beaches, which makes it very convenient for people looking to live in the typical Spanish surroundings of an inland village with easy access to the seaside towns and beaches. Sant Jordi

Setting

Sant Jordi (San Jorge in Castellano or 'Spanish') is a small and quiet village 15 minutes drive inland from the coast at Vinaros. and lies at 175m above sea level. Today San Jorge has around 1,500 inhabitants. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside which invites for long walks and picnics. Not far from the village of Sant Jordi

Cervera del Maestre

Setting

Cervera del Maestre is one of those really pretty villages in Spain. It has just over 700 inhabitants including those living in the countryside around the village and is at an altitude of 316 metres.
The setting is fantastic, on top of a hill, looking down over the countryside towards the sea.
